About Emma
Emma Wang

Emma was born and raised in Beijing, China. She graduated in 2019 from Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design.

Emma has a great passion for textile as well as garment silhouette. She enjoys manipulating fabric and exploring pattern-making techniques. She is bold and heavy on process. She loves learning new things from everything around her, and she will never stop learning.

Emma's Collaboration
For this collaboration with OMX, Emma found out that flowers are photographed in many ways that are related to sexuality, both male and female. It’s something in the nature where two gender aspects co-exist.

Emma was interested by the fact that a Perfect Flower contains both the male reproductive structures and female reproductive structures.

With that in mind, she incorporated male body figures in floral prints into womenswear fashion. An attempt to blur the lines of genders.

About our main fabric on this Collection
Modal

Modal fabric is a bio-based fabric that is made from spinning beech tree cellulose. It's generally considered a more eco-friendly alternative to cotton because beech trees don't require much water to grow and therefore the production process uses about 10-20 times less water. It's known for being warmer and absorbs 50% more than Cotton.
